Instance admin. Sometimes a technician, programmer, photographer and/or storyteller. Teacher-in-training.

I play video games sometimes, mostly indies these days. I like music and occasionally share some songs I like - if you want to recommend me some (or want recommendations đź‘€), feel free to send me a DM.

I prefer neutral pronouns (e.g. they). Masculine pronouns are fine, too.

Follow requests will be vibe-checked.

I hope you're not outside in Vienna right now. If you are, I hope you have a change of clothes.

Doing some cleanup and experiments with my reverse proxy, so expect some downtime between 18:15 and 20:00. Maybe much less.

I did it! With DVDStyler and manually adding the subtitle file and setting the font.

It also happens with AVStoDVD. I am starting to think there is some problem with FFMPEG, which all of these seem to be using in the background...?
Or perhaps converting the plain text srt format to DVD Bitmaps isn't working?

What the fuck Ashampoo also can't handle subtitles!?
What's going on here?

There really is no usable open source DVD authoring software, incredible. DevedeNG is the only one that works mostly for me, and that one has a bug where subtitles are ignored. Let's see if Ashampoo in a Windows VM can do it properly...
